Investigator Silver Moves to Execution Phase, Launches 30,000m Drill Campaign at Paris

Investigator Silver has moved its Paris Silver Project in South Australia from feasibility study into execution mode, appointing a raft of senior hires and kicking off a fully funded 30,000 metre drilling campaign in the same week. The dual announcement signals management’s confidence in pushing the 57 million ounce silver project toward a final investment decision, and it gives ASX investors a fresh reason to watch one of the country’s most advanced undeveloped silver plays.

Building Out an Execution Team

Investigator Silver confirmed Joe Sutanto as Chief Financial Officer effective 7 September 2026, alongside the appointment of Byron Gordon as Chief Development Officer, Luke Cerny as Principal Mining Engineer and Dr Ben Cave as Senior Exploration Geologist. The company has also engaged outside specialists to run engineering and permitting workstreams. With a cash balance of $58.8 million at 30 June 2026, the company says it is funded to progress permitting, engineering and exploration without an immediate need to return to the market. A Mine Lease Application is targeted for lodgement this quarter, a key regulatory step on the path toward development.

Drilling Beyond the Feasibility Study

The new 30,000 metre program is designed to close the gap between Paris’s 57 million ounce silver resource and its smaller 33 million ounce ore reserve, largely by converting inferred mineralisation to the indicated category needed for mine planning. Drilling will also test priority targets within 15 kilometres of the main deposit, including Paris East, Paris North and regional prospects such as Perseus, Nankivel, Manto and Hestia. It follows earlier high grade hits at the Theseus discovery, where assays have returned grades as high as 13,302 grams per tonne silver from narrow intervals.

What It Means for ASX Silver Investors

The news lands as spot silver trades above US$60 an ounce and the sector grapples with a sixth consecutive annual global supply deficit, according to the Silver Institute’s World Silver Survey. Australia remains one of the world’s largest silver reserve holders, per the US Geological Survey, and Investigator is not alone in racing to bring supply online, with peers such as Silver Mines also locking in funding for their own development pipelines. For investors, the combination of a strengthened management bench and a well funded drill program adds near term catalysts, though the eventual financing structure and timing of a final investment decision remain the key variables to watch.
